Travel Therapy

We come to your favorite family hang out spot* and conduct speech-language interventions there. Some examples of acceptable locations are:

  • Community Pools
  • Dog Parks
  • Playgrounds
  • Summer Camps (with permission from director)

 

Field Trip Therapy

This service is recommended for children and adults working on functional life skills, social skills, and generalization of learned speech and language skills. This is an 8 week program designed to practice using skills in natural settings. Destinations may be requested by individuals based on needs. Our recommendations include:

  • Dog Parks

Create your own Group

We come to your home or a location of your choosing* and provide group therapy, Mommy (or Daddy) & MeLanguage Trainings, or Social Skills Groups. Groups may be set on a one-time-only basis or at a discounted rate for hosting a six week course. Minimum of 5 participants.

Alternative Settings

Home

We come to your home* to provide speech-language services and interventions. This setting is best for children with articulation-only errors or children just beginning therapy. Transitions to less structured environments are recommended as they become appropriate.

 

Great and Small Therapeutic Riding Center (Boyds, MD)

Therapeutic services provided at Great and Small include hippotherapy, traditional speech-language therapy, assessments, sensory integration, social skills groups, Mommy (or Daddy) & Me Classes, and Summer Camps. This setting is recommended for children and adults with:

Lake Whetstone (Montgomery Village, MD)

Lake Whetstone provides a beautiful and natural setting to promote speech and language development through traditional and non-traditional therapy tasks. Therapy tasks may include water recreation, such as canoeing or paddle boating, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. These activities come at no additional charge.
